The IAR Mission Statement: Our mission is to nurture the self-esteem, dignity and respectability of people of all genders and orientations who have a fetish for latex, rubber or PVC (i.e. "Rubberists"), to foster a sense of their positive group identity and to provide a social forum for the sharing of Rubberist-related knowledge, wisdom, information resources and support. We also endeavor to promote the common perception that, while Rubberists may seem rather bizarre to some, we are actually decent, loving people of dignity and integrity who pose no threat or menace to society or any individual, including ourselves. We abhor and condemn illegal or distasteful activities involving children or animals or which are based in hatred or malice
