Default Tri-Tix Rubber Cream Glue - anyone tried it?

I saw this at Dick Blick Art Materials, it sounds much easier to work with & clean up than rubber cement, but all I know is what is printed on the container. Here's what it says:
    • non-flammable
    • dries flexible
    • non-toxic
    • strong bond
    • easy cleanup - excess rubs off

I'm not sure what they're referring to the excess rubbing off of, but if it rubs of rubber, I question the 'strong bond' claim. Can anyone speak from experience with this product? At $8/quart I'd consider trying it out if no one has anything to say, but I don't have anything in need of repair just now.

I'd be very interested in finding out what it is, exactly. It sounds like a liquid latex type of glue, but the fact that they call it rubber cement is very intriguing.

Given that the glue is advertised on a Artists supply web site I would guess that its original intent for use would be with graphic art work as in gluing paper or art projects requireing a flexible fast drying glue.

However, the glue we use now was originally designed for that purpose too.

thats what Copydex is for and its been used for years by latex designers to make clothes.

Its just a matter of super cleaning the surfaces before applying and then putting them together
