Never really gone for black latex personally - always thought of rubber tyres when I was growing up, which I never thought were particularly
sexy. For me, they're too 'dark & heavy' with conotations of 'Gloom, Doom & Dungeons' - always brought a flavour of 'suppression, Maleness and apprehensive tension' to the proceedings.

Milky chocolate brown does appeal to me though, and can look very sexy with a complexion that is not too 'yellow-tint' orientated, otherwise the unfortunate individual takes on a somewhat pallid appearance.

I have always gone for the lighter, pastelly shades (cream, white, pink, powder blue etc. or see-through natural / transparent) if they were available - perhaps more 'feminine' associations?

I must have about 150 pairs of double-bed size bedsheets of both Latex AND rubberised satin / cotton / polyester and silk, all of them in these pretty colours, which brings a 'happy, celebratory, joyful' occasion (in my mind), to the magic Rubber Bedroom for those oh-so-very special 'sensual' occasions...Anyone else feel the same?

By way of a wide vote, wouldn't it be interesting to see how many folk would prefer Black Latex Catsuits / Bedsheets / Rubber Gloves etc. in favour of any other colours (were they be given the choice) such as those that I've mentioned - or is Black the more 'universally accepted norm / choice' for fetish Rubber & Latex apparrel?

    Hey Iceman,

I'm with you on colours. Sure, black is de-rigeur, but there's more to life than that.

Elsewhere on this site (if I could find it right now) is a section of Polls, one of which questioned members' colour preferences, and returned a graph per colour breakdown of the results. Predictable, but interesting to view 2nd to 10th choices!

The thing that nags at the back of my mind is the Hanky Code. What does brown mean, in a gay man's hanky?

(this is a largely rhetorical question)

Then don't shove a brown bandana into the right rear pocket of your brown latex pants.

I believe brown leather chaps and vests are still popular among western wear gays (there is a gay rodeo circuit, in addition to bars that cater to guys who just like to play cowboy), and they do not have that conotation.
