I have recently lodged an "Enduring Guardianship" document which will allow my son to make decisions for or about me if I become non compos mentus at some time in the future. My wishes are recorded in the document and my son will be obliged to carry them out if I become totally incapacitated. The document does not carry any instruction to advise IAR of my demise, but I will discuss this with Peter and make sure he knows what I would like him to do. Don't expect to hear from him any time soon. I'm still looking forward to at least another 10 years. But by then I'll be pressing on to 87 and wouldn't expect to have much interest left in rubber.
Cheers EJ - I remembered your contribution and managed to find it - here! So I wonder what others make of your forward thinking and the idea that your interest in rubber might wane in the next nine years (has it waned in the past 6 months?)

    Cheers, Gord

If I know the end is near, I am going to put my full suit on with supper glue as a lube, then they can not change my wish once I'm gone. Actually why wait. I find that the day can't go fast enough till after hours to don on my gear, still trying to figger out the phsycology of the facination I and we have for this stuff, withall the brains collectively do we have a hope of ever finding out. This man who died there is no real explanation of why it happened, maybe he was unhappy and took this way out in the gear that he loved, what ever reason, it was his choice to iether take a short cut or risk self esphixication.

How much liquid latex does it take to fill a coffin? And never mind the worms, what would the archaeologists think!? We all should be prepared for the future, but with so many death wills, life wills, donor card instructions etc being contested and overturned by relatives it makes you wonder what the point is...

Hope this hasn't been covered before , sorry if it has, but has anyone who, like me, lives alone and has relatives ever considered what the consequences of "passing on" by accident or natural causes might have on the memory of relatives that find you . Even if someone else , not your immediate family finds you , it's gonna be your good old life long relatives that end up coming round to your gaff sooner or later and finds all your gear . I'de hate to think that I would be remembered as a "perv" instead of the ...err .. the great guy that I am !
Anyone else ever been bothered by this

Yes. I will be 79 Yrs. old in a couple of weeks, and am a widower living alone. I fully expect that one day they will find me in my bed in rubber pajamas between rubber sheets. If they have a problem with that, too bad. It is their problem, not mine. At that point, what do I care?

Yes, because there's an unhappy track record of various perves being exposed and then covered up by their families - look at the Gwenmedia story for a prime example of this: it's almost as if the families view that person's perversion as their fault, and want it hidden from the world.

I am slowly thinking about just how much perv gear and porn and memorabilia I will be lugging about when I am old(er) and grey(er); I think I am going to make it the subject of a separate bequest.

There are already concerns as what to do if I croak while fully rubbered up in my sleep, then what to do with all my latex gear, and I have a s#*^+t load of it.

I suppose I will squirm in my grave when all of it is dumped in the trash bin," my beloved latex", I would be more upset at what happens to it than what people think of me.

What I need is a benificiary to enjoy my gear, so it depends on who is nice to me,

I had a by-pass done a couple of years ago and had though of what if something went worng. So told one of my douthers of my fetish not going into to much detail. Told her I did'nt want her and outhers to find out on ther own and think bad of me. Worked out very well she was very understanding and we have spoke about it one other time. It has made me feel a lot beter about myself.

See? There you go, this just confirms what I wrote recently (see link in my previous post below).
If you have good and warm relations with people nearby you, they will not change their mind suddenly, as many years of good experience and relation is hard to rock. Even by latex clothing. It is all about who you are and have been in many years or perhaps even a lifetime that matters.

I even told to my daughters recently: Do not throw my rubber stuff out if something should happen to me, but sell it on e-bay and get a fortune! And they found it as a sound idea! They even know how to handle it so it would not get damaged. Are they themselves interested in rubber? Hell no, it does not occupies their minds. Did they became tolerant persons over the years? Hell yes, it is not only the rubber, but many other oddities and minorities of all kind that the world is full of and they know that as long it is not harmful to others or criminal, there is no need to sit on high horse and look down on such interests or lifestyles.

OK, I am deviating from the point of this thread, I think I got carried away for a moment.
