Default Halloween -- What are you wearing?

As someone who is still new to latex and rubber I've been trying to figure out an excuse to wear rubber in an extreme way in a public situation. Pondering this, I think I've come up with a way not only to experience full enclosure in latex ( and light bondage, I'll get to that in a minute ) but to wear it publicly, hopefully getting a few looks my way.

Every year the nightclubs in my area have large Halloween parties that attract a wide variety of people...but this being East Texas it isn't exactly the most tolerant place...so I'm sure showing up with every inch of my body covered in white liquid latex and a flowing white robe ought to attract some attention. To make the "ghost" costume a little more unnerving I will likely seal my mouth shut with the liquid latex and resort to using a lot of body language to communicate. My ears will be covered completely with a bald cap held in place with the latex. I'm either going to use solid white contacts or semiopaque plastic to cover my eyes (again it ought to help contribute to the creep-out effect).

A problem I've anticipated is with sealing my mouth shut with the liquid latex. I've tried it before but I found it too easy to stretch it out with my jaw muscles and break the bondage. So I think I've found a solution to it that ought to add to the bondage experience...super-glue. I'll of course test it out before resulting to super-gluing my lips shut but I've heard of it being done safely before and there are plenty of solvents available.

The costume idea provides anonymity in a public situation and a chance to see what people have to say about it. Too bad I'll be kept from responding. The other great thing about the costume is that if done correctly it ought to be almost impossible for me to remove it without assistance...which sounds like a fun time with bondage to me.

So, does anyone have any rubbery halloween costume ideas to share? Any thoughts about my idea?

I would highly reccomend against superglue in this application, for many reasons. In case of an emergency, you will want to "bust out" quickly. I would opt for using very wide PVC tape (you can get this in white) and doing a blend with the liquid latex. ALso, superglue isn't too friendly a chemical to skin anyways, let alone lips.

I do like your idea for the costume though! Let us know how it turns out!

It's interesting to mention that superglue (methyl cyanoacrylate) was originally developed to bond skin for surgical use. No wonder it sticks so well.

Hmmm.. I just deleted the long text I was typing up regarding a how to for lips. I didn't feel comfortable posting that just willy nilly. It can be done but there is technique involved and it is NOT something to be taken lightly. Better you don't do it.

As for going out.. I'd suggest going out dressed to the nines and doing it in Dallas. Every year there is a huge block part on Cedar Springs in Dallas. You can get away with anything there.

Superglue to seal the lips is a big no-no. While cyanoacrylates (superglues) are used for bonding skin in medical applications (e.g, Dermabond), you will not enjoy the experience of trying to dissolve such a bond.

These compounds achieve high bond strength rapidly due to their action of hydration--absorption of water is what causes the glue to cure. Acetone is the solvent used to remove superglue, and consequently this is why I cannot recommend this approach, as you would need to apply the solvent liberally, repeatedly, and over a lengthy period of time, and it is toxic.

You would not like the sensation, either, as the sensitive tissues of the lips would be prone to tearing whilst trying to remove the superglue.

As an alternative, a strong adhesive tape, or a wrap-around gag might do a better job. Another possibility is to have a dental appliance made, similar to the kind that are worn by athletes, to prevent the mouth from moving. Or i would recommend getting a mannequin head and painting anywhere from 12-20 thin layers of liquid latex over it to create a hood. Punch nose and eye holes, but no mouth holes.

"You would not like the sensation, either, as the sensitive tissues of the lips would be prone to tearing whilst trying to remove the superglue."

Which is why you don't remove the superglue adhesion by breaking the bond. Used in the BDSM realm I've seen it done and performed it myself numerous times. The crux of the matter is you don't break bond yourself. Doing this The bond has to break naturally on it's own. This is where the technique comes in. Done *right* the bond will last somewhere between 24 and 48 hours. Certain tissues grow very rapidly and thus serve as a limiting factor as to the duration of the bond.

But again don't do it. It can go badly very fast.

All you need to do is cough or sneeze violently and you can blow your eardrums out.

Furthermore, if you had to vomit or something else blocks your windpipe it would probably kill you.

Don't worry, the superglue was just a passing thought and I'm sure I can find a better solution. I'll be experimenting with the other ideas though.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I'll probably keep my mouth free from obstruction but avoid speaking for most of the night just to keep up with the creep factor. Yeah, I was planning on experimenting with the superglue on my fingers first...I'm sure I would have realized it to be a bad idea at that point. I'm not seeing any other complications though so I'll probably go ahead with the new plan. A couple of friends offered to help with makeup experiments in a couple of weeks. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Why not drip strips of cloth in liquid latex, then use them to wrap around your head? Once the latex cures, you will not be moving your mouth, but you will be able to remove it quickly in an emergency if you need to.

em... unless he's completely bald, a quick removal is going to be not so quick and rather painful

Plus the cloth will have to be cut with scissors as you can't tear it after the latex dries. I don't think I would contemplate this method as a practical method of acheiving the desired results.
