So, given how fast the pain came, do you think it was a UTI or an allergic reaction or incorrect technique?

This may have been posted (I didn't quite get to the end), but I doubt that was a UTI. (Please note, I'm not a medical professional). I've used lots of foleys (my favourites are 20fr - not too big that they leak, not so small you don't notice the 'fullness'), and every time you get a burning sensation when you urinate for a few hours after you remove it.

It's always usually gone away within 24 hours. As a rule I tend to drink cranberry juice before and after playing with caths. It's pretty acidic and so far (touch wood) I've never had a UTI.

Don't think this means stay away from the doc if it's there for an extended time, though!

Btw, I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for suppliers of nasogastric tubes in the UK? Preferrably fetish-friendly.

Also, you might want to check out http://www.bluehorizonmedicalsupplies.btinternet.co.uk/ for UK suppliers. Fetish friendly, very discreet (brown paper package, no markings - useful when you're not living alone or are with a nilla!), and /reasonable/ prices, although I've found cheaper.

Does anyone know what happened to the German fetish company "LUNDL". They had a very intriguing line of personal plumbing and water sports products.

From what I can gather the fellow who ran the company decided to close his doors about two years ago (I think) and the web site was taken down.

The products looked very interesting, but I found the web site to be one of the most difficult and frustrating to use that I have ever experienced.

One could never really get a good look at the item that interested you.

I hope that the site and product line is reborn, there were a few items I wanted from it.

Thank you Steffy. I agree the site was impossible to navigate. Perhaps that is why they are no longer with us. Although I loved some of what I saw.

Here's a wide selection of Male "External" catheters for anyone interested: http://www.vitalitymedical.com/external-catheter.html
