    Re: beginner's catsuit suggestions

I'd highly reccomend sealwear![rdx]126[/rdx] the quality is excellent & the fit is exact! You might have to wait a while for the "build" but it's worth it!
However i'd not reccomend ripplesmoothForums ripplesmoothG M Y tho.I have a suit from them! crotch 3 inches too low, numerous patches over the suit, mostly at the elbows which i have now covered with a thich rubber patch like your old teacher had on his sports coat.uneven seams.....
Go for sealwear, their suits can be customised.their bondage cat,the 007 files, might fit your needs.

    Default Re: Cocoon vs. Libidex???

I ordered my first suit from Cocoon in 2000.It was a complete inflatable PS1 suit m2m.
It fitted great.I purposly gave larger measurments as I wanted a loose fitting suit.I messed up the zipper by wearing plastic bags (with breathing holes)underneath it which the zipper teath kept getting caught on.The suit was too old to fix. I just ordered 2 more inflatable suits.one to replace the one I messed up(with rubber mitts),and a new one with rubber gloves.Thier quality is excellent! I also ordered Polish and briefs which took only 6 days shipping time from UK to my home in US! I also want to tell you I spoke to the owner Moire several times in email and directly on the phone. She is a terrific person to talk to friendly, helpfull and concerned. She replies to emails and questions promtly and fully understands the rubberists needs and concerns.I could not recomend any company more highly! :us:

I've ordered from both over the years and have to say I've never had any trouble from either and the goods have always been top quality. But as with all things, cockups will happen and when they do opinions tend to drastically change!

    Default Catsuit: Thickness?

    Hello everybody,

I'm looking forward to buying a catsuit shortly, but I'm unsure what thickness
"makes most sense" for me. I've seen the section on thickness in the "Catsuit guide"
over on the other forum, but that's just a very general discussion, right? So my specifics are: I'd like to wear the catsuit for a bit longer if the situation arises ;-) (which I guess points
towards thinner latex) but I also like the feeling of material that's a little thicker.
Do members here have any advice on that, or is that just a question of taste and
there's no way to tell but to try it? ;-) Is there a noticeable difference between adjacent
thicknesses at all, e.g. between .2'' and .25'' latex?

    Thanks to everybody,

    roger de guimsey

The typical glued panel suit uses .35 latex. This is the most common thickness used for clothes and hoods etc. It can provide a decent amount of compression and even if it is too tight, it can become uncomfortable after a while... and, for example.. your toes might start to hurt. Chafe of a too tight or even too loose suit is a problem with suits of this thickness of thicker.

Suits made from .25 or less offer very little compression, ie less of the bondage feel. They are more forgiving if ordered on the small side and will stretch more easily to fit wrinkle free. Chafe on your skin is usually not an issue with thin rubber. Wearing a thin suit is a different experience from a thicker suit. The former almost feels as if you are wearing nothing, but of course to the touch it is the same sleek feel.... and the look is the same.

If you want to reliably wear something for hours and hours on end a thinner suit will fit the bill. And of course you can always do the layer thing... by adding tights, socks tops etc. to achieve the feel of a thicker suit.

Thinner suits are more susceptible to damage from tearing and wear on the soles of the feet.

Thin suits are very easy getting on and off... and have no restriction on any of your movements.

Thick suits might take some decent effort and lots of lube for sure so that the suit can find its fit to your body shape. Even perfect fitting thick suits tend to restrict your motion as your muscles work against the constricting rubber skin.

Few companies make thin suits. Marquis has one and so does Kunzman... but most companies do the standard thickness and thicker.

You can observe the impact of thickness on movement by trying gloves of different thicknesses from light surgical type latex gloves to thicker dipped latex fashion gloves or even 2 pairs one over the other. Even typing is difficult with "normal" fashion latex gloves yet a surgeon can perform the most delicate motion with thin surgical latex gloves!

I think Dark covered most aspects concerning latex thickness. From my experience it?s the time you want to spend in the suit and the fitting of the suit that decides material thickness.

For long time wearing (8 hours or more), like sleeping in a suit or wearing it all day, I would choose the thinner latex. A .35 can work well but with a risk of pinching in armpits, hollow of the knee, etc.
Glaftex has made several interesting postings concerning latex thickness.

Hi again team glad to be back and thanks for your coments I will be back in a contribution mode shortly. Actually i was working on this exact problem.

Some times better or more defined measurements can help try to use www.SizeBase.com for a start and I know we will have more helpful tools to use in the future. Most of the site is free sharing details with others etc is a few bucks a year.

    Default Made to measure catsuit

I have owned a number of off-the-rack catsuits and am now looking to have one made-to-measure. I live in the US and do not want to wait ~3 months to get one from DeMask (whose quality I like) or Cocoon/Libidex (both of whom are reputed to be very good).

Does anyone have experience with Scarred Rubber (based in California, I think)? Specifically, any input on their quality, customer service, turnaround time, etc. would be appreciated. Feel free to give input on other made-to-measure vendors as well. Thanks.

:us: I bought a custom made hood from them a few years back. It has seen a lot of action and has held up very well. I gave them my measurements, and the the turn around time was just as they promised. The fit and their workmanship is excellent. The polish that they sell is good also. Hope this helps.

Scarred Rubber are excellent. I ordered from them in August of 2001 and arranged a delivery to my holiday destination, in Arizona, timed carefully for the week I would be there.

That week started on September 11, 2001...

Nonetheless, they got the item to me during that week.

When it comes to their designs, make sure you allow plenty of room in the hood measurements. I have bother with hood styles and designs which are tight around the jaw, and the only mod I have done to the piece they made for me was to have the hood cut off so I can do some mix n match.
