I have just ordered a bondage bag from a new company in CA. The twist on it is that unlike a normal sleepsack. The bag/sack puts you in a hog tie like position. It should be here in a few weeks I will let you know when I get it and try it out. I took it for a test run at IML this past weekend. I was in there for 30 min and it was amazingly comforable. Being poor college students, my girl and I can afford relatively little "fun shiny stuff". Recently we saw rolls of vinyl bondage tape at the local kink shop...what is the overall opinion of this stuff? Seeing as how we haven't been able to afford any rubber or such, can fun be had? Is it reusable? Just any thoughts before we part with ~$20.

I have no experience with vinyl bondage tape but here are some extremely low cost avenues you might want to explore:

2. Make items from automobile and heavy-equipment inner tubes that you can get for free from tire stores. Example: http://rubberist.net/forums/showthre...highlight=tube

Vinyl tape, provided it is kept fairly clean, can be re-used. It has no sticky adhesive layer - it's just its own friction that keeps it in place.

It is inexpensive and can be wrapped around any part of the body, creating the impression of a continuous shiny layer. However, when you try to bend a wrapped leg for example, the loops may become parted at the knee, and the image is lost! So it's great for bondage play and shiny photo-sessions, but not much good as an alternative to rubber clothing.

It might be worth checking out [xlink=254]Denber[/xlink] as their moulded rubber wear is availavle at factory prices (really!), although they make a surcharge for small orders. Worth a look? Let's know what you think.

Other alternatives might be cling-film as it is more 'sticky' and slightly more elastic than bondage tapebondage tape^{G M Y} - also comes in wider - er - widths so there are fewer joins per limb, say. Does anyone know sources of coloured cling film (black!!!) ?

I don't know about black but I have purchased pale blue from the Viking office equipment wholesalers several rolls of pallet wrap it is slightly thicker than clingfilm, sticky on one side and 40 cm wide and LOTS on a roll

We use this stuff all the time for private sessions and photo shoots. It's cheap and it does work! As Gord said it isn't sticky in itself, and sometimes it can start to come undone, so some sellotape/scotch tape nearby can be a good idea to secure the ends. It can also get a bit of static and then pick up lots of fluff and dirt so give it a wipe down before you store it.

Anyway, hope you both enjoy it, if you do decide to get some!

The tape works well and as long as you treat it nicely it can be reused. My suggestion for storing it for reuse is to not fold it, but to wind it arround an old paper towel ring or other device. Enjoy.
