Amazing yes... but frankly, speaking for me and me only... it looks like a clown show or comedy routine or a circus amusement. I suppose these things could be someone's fetish... but this is so far from how I feel about fetish, I want to say .... why and how is this "rubbish" linked to fetish? Because these outfits are made from rubber? Who cares? Not I.

Go back to your regularly scheduled broadcast...

Well I think they look cool, and show what that designer could to with the medium of rubber, but then I personally love inflatables, and those are definately inflated! I really like some of the other outfits on the site.
Perhaps "llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysili ogogogoch" wasn't the best safe word in the world.

Dark, hope this gives you some insight into this business from a budding latex designer/manufacturer:

Same principle goes for "vanilla" high fashion and "pervy" high fashion: the more outrageous the fashion show, the more press, the more buzz, more publicity=more customers. For example, the couture house of Christian Dior admited that they loose money on their couture collections. They only do it because of the HUGE publicity, publicity that sells perfume and cosmestics and their off-the-peg lines.

Similarly, fetish designers (not all of them though, houses like HW---well, their stuff's amazing without being circus-like to begin with) will try to outdo each other in the biggie fashion shows (Skin2, German fetish ball, etc.) in order to gain the most attention. Potential customers may think, "Wow! If they can do that crazy stuff, they can do the custom stuff I want." Lots of times people will equate, in both fetish and vanilla worlds, crazyamazing designs with crazyamazing quality. Also, even if they don't think that, the brand name will still stick in their minds and may lead to orders down the line if not immeditely.

(Fetish) fashion shows are great publicity tool. If the designer is able to attend (the clothing gets shipped all over the world to different shows) they can take advantage of that oppurtunity to meet customers, gain connections, quizz models on fit problems, and generally shoot the . I've had only 2 fashions shows to date but I recognize the powerful tool they are. You get a lot lot lot of buzz, and gain customers. (But then after a week, it starts to fade and you plan the next one...and the cycle continues.) I don't do that kind of crazy stuff. No one knows my company yet and, frankly, producing that stuff is EXPENSIVE! Right now, I would much rather spend the money and time expanding my basics line.

Or you could just say it's pure entertainment. What would attract people to watch more, a plain black catsuit with a plain hood, or some crazy colored thing with square-shaped inflatable boobs, and maybe a microwave built into the hood? It's eye candy. They may not sell too much of that crazy stuff itself, but it leads to sales in other things.

    Cheers!

Dark - lighten up! OK this stuff may not be something you'd want to wear, but LOOK at it, it's amazing! At least it's a break from the norm - you've seen one black TE suit you've seen 'em all within reason.

I love the imagination that's gone into those, and personally I think "fun" stuff like that does our image as rubberists / fetishists some good. It proves we don't all take ourselves too seriously and that we're not all just sick weirdos tucked away in dungeons.

Wonder if that pig suit is a sort of rubber/furry crossover outfit? Perhaps "unfurry" would be more accurate

Just because you don't care for it it is RUBBISH?

If you don't care then why are you telling us you don't?
One has to appreciate the talent that went into all of this even if you DON"T like it.

My language may have been a bit harsh... but I seriously doubt that these costumes represent a fetish as much as they do a marketing gimmick, a spectacle and a "side show".

Large fetish events now always include fashions shows and others "fetish themed" vignettes as entertainment for the crowd. Indeed how many times can you parade out a black catsuit and keep the crowds coming?

All this stuff is pivoting off of role play and escapism with rubber and BDSM themes and the promoters are laughing all the way to the bank as well as having fun no doubt.

Will someone come forward who wants one of these outfits as part of their fetish life.... please...

OK smarty pants, I'll stick my hand up and say I'd quite like all of them, even the pig one. Why? Well - it's an inflatable TE suit, which is something I'd quite like anyway, and you don't see the outside when you're in it

Also, if you're doing TE as part of BDSM including humiliation, what could be more humiliating than dressing a slave in THAT? I mean a standard gimp outfit is one thing, but THAT is off this planet

However, would I BUY that suit - no way, I can't even imagine what the price tag is but I'm willing to bet it's more than my car cost.

The others are slightly more sane, the Biohazard one I'd definitely love - in fact it's not a million miles away from something I have been planning to make anyway (need to work on my skills first though!)

    So ner-ner-ne-nerr-nerr

The piggy outfits are funny and like it or not a whole lot of latex outfits are funny /comical. I wear latex in public and as a result do expect some to react by laughing..smiling.

A lot of private outfits are funny and as part of sexplay whats wrong with funny? Unless you are role playing sub/dom in which case one of you will be in trouble if caught laughing at the wrong time!

I admire the skill involved much as I admire special shape hot air balloons.

Pretty Pervy actually does a good business designing special clothes for the furry crowd and roleplay crowd.

I saw the clothes in Berlin and I was enchanted. The workmanship was to die for, and they showed a great sense of humor and lightheartedness. It went over really well.

What Betty says is correct. One look at these suits and there should be no doubt in anyones mind that such a company could do almost any custom made outfit.
