ISOLATION HOOD
This is a made to measure full cover hood. The initial closure is by laces down the back, to prevent hair being trapped in the laces there is a pliable cover stitched to both sides of the back opening that folds as the laces tighten. Over the laces is a zip, which is pulled down over the laces so that cannot be loosened, the lower end of the zip slider is locked to the collar. Around the hood at eye level is a strap which is buckled tightly, another strap is buckled around the hood below the nose and over the only hole in the hood at the mouth. A final strap is pulled tight from around the chin and over the top of the head; this prevents the mouth from being opened. The final feature is two pockets situated over the ears, into these can be put pads to deaden all sound, or as in my preference the earphones of a radio that is producing white noise'. This hood is usually paired with my leather body bag.
